01 / About WALDE
From the G-series to the G64.
The G64 was preceded by the WF-G34: Lars Walde’s own interpretation of the Porsche 911 G-series. With the G64, WALDE continued that development on the technical foundation of the Porsche 911, 964 generation. Experience from daily work on air-cooled 911s and from motorsport shaped the concept.
Lars’ wish to build a car of his own and a customer enquiry led to two builds progressing largely in parallel: a naturally aspirated car that began as a personal project and a customer-commissioned twin-turbo. The customer wanted more power than the planned naturally aspirated concept, bringing a distinct set of engineering challenges for the twin-turbo. It took about two to two and a half years to reach two finished, registered cars. Development continues.

02 / Approach
Driving sets the direction.
Driving dynamics and enjoyment
Driving dynamics and the enjoyment of driving come first in the DNA of the G64: ahead of performance, everyday usability and function, quality and aesthetics. Additional equipment follows.
Form from engineering
That order shaped the work on both the naturally aspirated car and the twin-turbo. Suspension, wheels and bodywork were considered together. The twin-turbo brought its own challenges: the powertrain, cooling and control systems had to be developed as a package. Both cars shared an idea while calling for different solutions.
03 / Person
Lars Walde
Lars’ experience as a mechanic and team principal in motorsport shapes the way he approaches a car. During development, the idea grew to build the G64 for other owners too.
Today, the G64 forms a shared family. The base configuration, the driver-focused G64R and the twin-turbo G64TT offer different starting points for a conversation. The right specification takes shape around how you intend to use your car and the details agreed together.

04 / Decisions
Decisions about the car.
Tyres and proportions
For WALDE, the desired performance and drivability lead to questions about grip and tyre size. Tyre size and construction in turn influence the body. Wings, bumpers and transitions should accommodate these technical requirements. This is how WALDE describes the path from engineering to form.

Personal wishes and a character of its own
Colours and materials offer room for your ideas. Lars wants to take these ideas on board while preserving the car’s recognisable character. Each choice is therefore considered as part of the whole: how does it fit with the forms, proportions and other materials? Personalisation is understood as a shared design task.
